The Optometry Diaries

12/10 - Went grocery and gift shopping with my brother. Ordered a Boost to cool down from the sweltering 33 degree heat but another girl stole my smoothie (only in the ghetto bro)! Following the-customer-is-always-right principle, they served me a free up-sized drink to compensate. And of course, happy birthday Cindy!

13/10 - Catch up lunch date with childhood friend Joyce who came back from Japan. Thank you for the souvenirs. Stayed up until 3-in-the-am rewriting an essay. Incidents like this are probably the primary cause for my moments of insanity.

16/10 - Solved my first hard sodoku puzzle from the mX newspaper. It's been a tradition for some friends on the same train line to solve the word jumble and sudoku together during those ridiculously long journeys home. We are the nerdiest.

17/10 - Birthday wishes to the fantastic Alyce Chau! Our optom crew celebrated her birthday with dinner at Pancakes On The Rocks. Afterwards we let loose on the new swing sets and flying fox at Darling Harbour. A few bruises and minor cuts were acquired by our friends that night. Never too old to be chilling at the playground.

19/10 - Being a deranged woman I watched four consecutive hours of Korean drama. Old habits never truly die. 'Heirs' is quite a touching drama with my favourite formula: rich boy, poor girl, romantic comedy. Lee Min-Ho, Park Shin-Hye and Kim Woo-Bin star in it! The drawback is that the plot moves a little slow and while there is an idea that there are threats to money etc. there is no stronger sense of imminence. Tape my mouth before I sprout more about dramas.

... AND THAT'S IT FOR NOW.

Love you long time!

p.s. Isn't this Facebook sticker cute? Helena's been obsessing over it to the extent of breeding an army of cacti in her back garden now..
