Gastronomical #2

On Tuesday I finished my last exam for the year and went out to the city to celebrate with Quan, his friend, Sam and Simon.

LORD OF THE FRIES

This place was flat out junk food but who doesn't like a dirty bulk once in a blue moon? The fries were not to disappoint and they offered a huge array of sauces and burgers. It also has vegan options. One drawback is that this place only does take out so we found a food court under a medical centre to sit at. Another disappointment is that like many CBD eateries, LOTF's food prices are sky high in order to keep up with the rent so unfortunately my broke as a joke student income tells me not to go there again.

Big Burger meal deal ($14.95 + $1 for sweet potato fries upgrade)
  • For this I picked the Original Burger "LOTF Patty, Cheese, Pickles, Onion, Lettuce, Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup". It was classic and actually big. The flavour balance was good and it wasn't particularly greasy.
  • Sweet Potato Fries with Indian Sauce "Spicy Mango, Chutney, Sour Cream". The sauce was a little plain and I still prefer the Vietnamese Sauce over it because the latter is a little more spicy and exciting. Sweet potato fries are pretty nice and a little sweeter and mushier in texture on the inside than traditional potato fries. The serving was very generous and there was no way I could finish that and the burger. Even the boys had trouble finishing it.
